To reach the National Botanic Gardens Shah Alam by car from Genting Highlands, start by getting onto the E8 highway (Genting Sempah). Follow the signs for Kuala Lumpur. Merge onto the E1 (North-South Expressway) and continue driving for approximately 50 km. Take the exit towards Persiaran Sukan/Airport and follow the signs to Shah Alam. Continue on Persiaran Sukan until you reach the junction with Jalan Kebun. Turn right and follow the road signs to Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam. The gardens will be on your left. There are usually no tolls on this route, but check for any updates on toll charges before your journey.

Public Transportation
To reach the National Botanic Gardens Shah Alam using public transportation, first, you will need to take a bus from Genting Highlands to the nearest bus terminal, which is located at the Awana Skyway station. From there, take a bus to Kuala Lumpur. Upon arriving at the Pudu Sentral bus terminal in Kuala Lumpur, transfer to a bus heading to Shah Alam. The bus should drop you off at the Shah Alam bus terminal. From the Shah Alam bus terminal, you can take a local taxi or ride-sharing service directly to the National Botanic Gardens (Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam). Expect to pay around RM 20-30 for the taxi ride. The total travel time can take around 2-3 hours depending on traffic.
