History of Genting Highlands

The history of Genting Highlands begins with the vision of Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, a Chinese-Malaysian entrepreneur. In 1965, during a visit to Cameron Highlands, Lim was inspired to create a hill resort closer to Kuala Lumpur. Despite the challenging terrain and the skepticism of many, he embarked on the ambitious project.
