From the heart of Old Town, start at the famous Ipoh Railway Station, which is a well-known landmark. Head east on Jalan Sultan Idris Shah towards Jalan Dato' Onn Jaafar. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Jalan Tun Sambanthan. Turn left onto Jalan Tun Sambanthan and continue walking straight for about 500 meters. You will notice the large green park to your left. Continue until you reach the junction with Jalan St. John. The Ipoh War Memorial will be on your right, nestled within the park. The walk should take approximately 10-15 minutes.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Old Town. Start at the Ipoh Railway Station and cycle east on Jalan Sultan Idris Shah.
