From Kinabalu National Park HQ, head southeast on the Jalan Kinabalu road towards the town of Kundasang. Follow the signs to the city of Kota Kinabalu. Once in Kota Kinabalu, take the Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens road towards the waterfront area. Continue straight until you reach the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal. This drive will take approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic.

From Kinabalu National Park HQ, take a bus to Kota Kinabalu. You can catch a bus from the nearby bus terminal in Kundasang. The bus ride to Kota Kinabalu will take about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Kota Kinabalu, head to the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal which is a short walk from the bus drop-off point.

At Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal, purchase a ferry ticket to Pulau Usukan. Ferries operate several times a day, and it is advisable to check the schedule in advance. The ferry ride to Pulau Usukan takes approximately 30 minutes. Ensure you have cash for the ferry ticket, which typically costs around RM 30-50 (Malaysian Ringgit) for a round trip.
