If you are starting from the Kota Bharu Bus Station, exit the station and head southeast on Jalan Sultan. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several local shops and cafes. Padang Merdeka is located on your left, just after the junction with Jalan Padang Garong.

If you are at the KB Mall, exit the mall and turn left onto Jalan Pintu Pong. Walk straight until you reach the traffic light junction. Turn right onto Jalan Sultan. Continue walking for approximately 500 meters. Padang Merdeka will be on your right, near the entrance of the Kota Bharu Cultural Centre.
