Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Kota Kinabalu Waterfront, head east along the waterfront promenade. Continue walking towards the main street, Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen, which runs parallel to the sea. Once you reach the end of the promenade, turn right onto Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen and walk for about 10 minutes. You will pass several shops and restaurants. Keep walking until you reach a roundabout, and take the first exit onto Jalan Tanjung Aru. Continue straight until you see the Malaysia Monument on your left, located in a small park area.

From the Kota Kinabalu Central Market, take Bus No. 1A or 2A which goes towards Tanjung Aru. The bus stop is located right outside the market.
