Walking
If you are starting from the Kuching Waterfront, head towards the river and follow the path along the waterfront promenade. Walk along the Sarawak River until you reach the pedestrian bridge (Datu Patinggi Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin Bridge). Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself on Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg. Continue walking straight for about 200 meters, and you will see Padang Merdeka on your left, a large open park area with beautiful trees and space for relaxation.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you are near the Kuching City South Council (MBKS) area, take bus number 8 or 1 from the nearby bus stop. The bus will take you towards the city center. Get off at the bus stop at Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, which is directly across from Padang Merdeka. From there, you can walk across the street to reach the park.
