Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, begin your journey in Kuah Town, the main town in Langkawi. From Kuah, head north on Jalan Persiaran Putera until you reach the intersection. Turn right onto Jalan Pantai Cenang. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with Jalan Padang Matsirat. Turn left onto Jalan Padang Matsirat, which leads you towards the north of the island. Follow this road for approximately 15 minutes, passing several scenic spots. Once you see the signs for Pasir Tengkorak Recreational Forest, turn right onto a smaller road leading to the park entrance. There is a parking area available at the site.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start from Kuah Town where you can catch a local bus to Pantai Cenang. The bus service is relatively frequent and costs around RM 5. Once you arrive at Pantai Cenang, you can hire a taxi or rideshare to take you to Pasir Tengkorak Recreational Forest. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes and will cost around RM 30-40. Ensure you confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Alternatively, you can check with local tour operators who may offer shuttle services to the forest.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous travelers, renting a bicycle is a great way to see the island while heading to Pasir Tengkorak. You can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Kuah Town or Pantai Cenang for about RM 15-30 per day. From Kuah, follow the same route as the car directions, but be prepared for some hills and traffic. It may take around 1-1.5 hours to cycle to the forest. Remember to carry water and snacks, as the ride can be taxing.
