Walking
If you are starting from Jonker Street, head east towards Jalan Hang Jebat. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Jalan Laksamana. Turn left onto Jalan Laksamana and walk until you see the Malacca River on your right. You will notice the riverbanks are lined with colorful buildings and cafes.

From A Famosa Fort, exit the fort and head south along Jalan Tun Sri Lanang. Continue straight until you reach the Taman Rempah area. Turn right onto Jalan Kampung Hulu, and walk towards the river. You will soon see the riverbanks and a scenic view of the Malacca River.

If you are at the Malacca Sultanate Palace Museum, exit the museum and head south along Jalan Melayu. Walk until you reach the junction with Jalan Merdeka. Turn left onto Jalan Merdeka and continue walking until you see the Malacca River on your right, marked by its iconic riverside walkways.

Take the local bus from any of the bus stops in Malacca that connect to the city center. Look for buses heading towards 'Malacca Town'. Get off at the nearest stop to the river, which is typically near Medan Samudera. From there, walk towards the river following the signs that direct you to the riverfront area.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the city, especially around Jonker Street. Cycle along Jalan Munshi Abdullah, then turn left onto Jalan Laksamana. Continue straight until you reach the riverfront. The bike lanes will guide you safely to the banks of the Malacca River.
