If you are in the city center of Malacca, start at Jonker Street (Jalan Hang Jebat). Head south towards Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jalan Merdeka. Turn left onto Jalan Merdeka and follow it until you see the Malacca River. Cross the river using the nearest pedestrian bridge and continue straight on Jalan Banda Hilir. You will eventually see Bukit Melaka on your left, near the historical landmarks in the area. It is about a 30-minute walk from Jonker Street.

From the Malacca Sentral Bus Terminal, take the local bus number 17 or 19 towards Banda Hilir. The bus will take you directly to Banda Hilir. Get off at the stop near the A Famosa fortress. From there, walk towards Jalan Banda Hilir, and Bukit Melaka will be a short walk away. The entire journey should take around 40 minutes, including bus travel and walking.
