If you are in Jonker Street, a popular tourist area, start by heading southwest towards Jalan Hang Jebat. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Turn left onto Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Jalan Laksamana. Turn right onto Jalan Laksamana and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto Jalan Banda Hilir. Follow this road until you see Bastion Middleburg on your left side.

If you are near A Famosa, the iconic Portuguese fortress, exit the fortress area and head southeast along Jalan Kota.
