If you are starting from the popular Jonker Street, head southeast on Jalan Hang Jebat towards Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jalan Laksamana. Turn left onto Jalan Laksamana and walk for about 10 minutes. You will pass various shops and eateries along the way. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Jalan Banda Hilir. Turn right and continue walking for about 5 minutes. You will find the Mauritius Bastion remains on your left, located at Banda Hilir, 75000 Malacca. Look for the historical marker and the surrounding area that features remnants of the fort.

If you are at A Famosa, the historic Portuguese fortress, it's just a short walk to the Mauritius Bastion remains. Exit A Famosa and walk towards Jalan Banda Hilir. Turn left onto Jalan Banda Hilir and continue straight for about 5 minutes. The Mauritius Bastion remains will be on your right side. This route is ideal for those interested in exploring the historical sites in close proximity.
Public Transport
If you are near the Malacca Sentral, take a local bus (Bus No. 17 or 18) heading towards Banda Hilir. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Request the driver to drop you off at the Banda Hilir stop. Once you disembark, walk towards Jalan Banda Hilir, and you will find the Mauritius Bastion remains a short distance away to your left. This is a convenient option for those wanting to explore the area without walking too far.
