If you are traveling by car, start from Kuala Lumpur. Take the Karak Highway (E8) heading towards Kuantan. After approximately 50 km, take the exit toward Bentong. Continue on the route, and follow the signs for Bentong town. Once in Bentong, head towards Jalan Chamang, which will lead you to Chamang Waterfall. The waterfall is located at 68, 28750 Bentong, Pahang. There is no entrance fee for the waterfall, but parking may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Bentong. Buses leave from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, costing approximately MYR 15-25. Upon arriving in Bentong, you can either take a taxi or ride-sharing service (like Grab) to Chamang Waterfall, which is about 12 km away from the bus station. The taxi fare should be around MYR 20-30. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk, it is approximately a 2-hour walk from the bus station to the waterfall, but this is not recommended due to the distance and road conditions.
Local Transport
Once you reach Bentong, consider renting a motorcycle or bicycle for a more adventurous journey to Chamang Waterfall. Local rental shops can be found near the bus station. Renting a motorcycle typically costs about MYR 30-50 per day. This option allows you to explore the scenic routes at your own pace.
