Bus
From the Sandakan city center, head to the nearest bus terminal, which is located at Jalan Utara. Look for a bus that is heading towards the Labuk Bay area. The bus fare is usually around RM5-10. Inform the bus driver that you are going to the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Labuk Bay bus stop, look for signs directing you to the sanctuary, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.
Taxi or Ride-hailing Service
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a ride-hailing service like Grab. Simply open the app, set your pickup location in Sandakan, and enter 'Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary' as your destination. The drive will take around 30 minutes, and the fare should be around RM30-50 depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. Walking
