Getting there

Walking

If you are in central Sandakan, you can walk to Trogon Tower. Start from the Sandakan Waterfront, and head east along Jalan Sekerat. Continue straight until you reach the Sepilok area. Look for signs leading to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Trogon Tower is located nearby at VWFV+63, Sepilok. The walk will take approximately 45-60 minutes depending on your pace.

Public Bus

From the Sandakan Central Market, take a public bus heading to Sepilok. Buses are frequent and usually marked with their destination. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Sepilok. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sepilok, walk towards the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Trogon Tower is a short walk from the entrance.

Taxi or Ride-Sharing Service

You can take a taxi from anywhere in Sandakan directly to Trogon Tower. Simply ask the driver to take you to VWFV+63, Sepilok. If you prefer a ride-sharing service, use your smartphone app to request a ride to Sepilok. The drive should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
