Car
If you are driving from major cities in West Coast, such as Kuala Lumpur or Ipoh, take the North-South Expressway (E1). Exit at the Tanjung Malim exit (Exit 119). From there, follow the signs to Route 1, which will lead you towards Sungkai and then into the Perak region. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the town of Lumut. From Lumut, follow signs to Pangkor Island. Although Coral Beach is located on the mainland, you can access it via the ferry from Lumut to Pangkor Island. The ferry costs around RM10 one way. Once on the island, follow local signs to Coral Beach, which is approximately a 15-minute drive from the ferry terminal.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transport, take a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Lumut. Buses are available from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) and the journey takes around 4-5 hours, costing approximately RM35-45. Upon arrival in Lumut, you can take a taxi or Grab service to the ferry terminal. The ferry to Pangkor Island will cost you about RM10 one way. Once on Pangkor Island, you will need to either rent a motorcycle or use a local taxi to reach Coral Beach, which is about a 15-minute ride from the ferry terminal.
Taxi or Ride-sharing
If you prefer a more direct route without the hassle of public transport, you can opt for a taxi or ride-sharing service like Grab. You can book a ride from anywhere in West Coast, but expect to pay a higher fare, depending on your pickup location. From Lumut, a taxi to Coral Beach will cost around RM30-50 depending on traffic and your exact starting point.
