The most common way to reach Fares Island is via seaplane from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. Upon arrival at the airport, an Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort representative will assist you with booking a seaplane transfer, with an average wait time of 1-2 hours. The seaplane journey takes approximately 35 minutes, offering breathtaking views of the atolls. Roundtrip seaplane transfers cost approximately USD 600 for adults and USD 300 for children. Seaplanes operate only during daylight hours.

Domestic Flight and Speedboat
An alternative to seaplane transfer is a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport (DRV), followed by a speedboat transfer to Fares Island. If arriving in Malé after 3:30 PM, this may be the only option. The domestic flight takes about 20 minutes, and the speedboat transfer takes approximately 35 minutes. Roundtrip domestic flights cost approximately USD 500 for adults and USD 250 for children, including the speedboat transfer.
