Getting There

  • Ferry

    From Velana International Airport (MLE) or Malé, take a taxi to the Villingili Ferry Terminal (fixed fare around MVR 25 without luggage). From there, take the public ferry to Guraidhoo. The direct ferry takes approximately 2 hours and costs around MVR 30 (USD 2) per person, but it does not operate on Fridays. Alternatively, the MTCC Province Ferry stops at Gulhi and Maafushi before Guraidhoo, taking approximately 2.5 hours and costing around USD 6 per person (including taxi fare from the airport to the ferry terminal). Check the ferry schedule in advance as it can vary.

  • Speedboat

    From Velana International Airport (MLE) or Malé, a speedboat is a faster but more expensive option. A shared speedboat costs around US $40 per person and takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Private speedboat hires are also available for around USD 250 per boat (maximum 10 people). Speedboats depart from Malé at 12:30, 16:00, and 22:00 daily and from Guraidhoo at 08:00, 14:30, and 17:30 daily. Pre-booking is recommended.

  • Walking

    Once on Guraidhoo Island, K. Guraidhoo Beach is easily accessible on foot. From the main square (Thundi), head southeast towards the local school. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach a small footpath leading towards the beach. Follow this path to K. Guraidhoo Beach.
