Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the Malé International Airport (MLE). From the airport, follow the signs leading to the ferry terminal. Once you reach the terminal, park your car in the designated parking area. Note that parking fees may apply, so check the rates at the airport parking facility. After parking, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Bandos Island. The ferry ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to check the ferry schedule as it may vary throughout the day.
Public Transportation (Bus + Ferry)
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from your location in Kaafu Atoll to Malé. Look for the bus stops with signs indicating the route to Malé City. The bus fare is usually around 20 MVR (Maldivian Rufiyaa) and the journey takes about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Malé, make your way to the ferry terminal located near the waterfront. Purchase a ferry ticket to Bandos Island for around 30 MVR. The ferry ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, bringing you directly to Bandos Beach.
Speedboat Transfer
For a faster option, you can book a speedboat transfer from Malé International Airport directly to Bandos Island. This is a convenient choice for those who prefer a quicker journey. Typically, the speedboat transfer takes about 10-15 minutes. You should arrange this in advance through your hotel or a local travel agency. The cost can vary, but expect to pay around 50-70 USD per person for this service.
