Public Ferry & Speedboat
For budget travelers, public ferries are available from Malé to several local islands in Ari Atoll. The ferry journey can take 4-6 hours and costs approximately USD 8-10 per person one way. Ferries typically operate on specific days of the week, excluding Fridays. From the local island, you may need to hire a private speedboat to reach your final destination.
