From any point in Maafushi, head towards the beach and walk along the shoreline towards the south. Continue walking until you reach the end of the island. You will see signs for local boats and water taxis. Ask for a ride to Kunahandhoo, which is the nearest island to Valhaathere. The boat ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes.

Once you arrive at Kunahandhoo, disembark and head towards the inland area. Follow the main path leading away from the dock. You should continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the area near the coordinates Q9PG+96. Look for signs indicating the entrance to the Valhaathere/salt water lake protected area.
