    The primary way to reach Villa Nautica from Velana International Airport (MLE) is via a speedboat transfer. Upon arrival at the airport, a resort representative will greet you and escort you to the speedboat. The speedboat ride takes approximately 20 minutes to cover the 9.6 km distance. The resort arranges the mandatory speedboat transfer. As of July 2025, the roundtrip speedboat transfer costs US$185 per adult and US$98 per child (below 12 years old).

The resort, which was established in 1994 and rebranded from Paradise Island Resort in 2023, is known for its stunning turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and a variety of activities. The island itself is lush and green, providing a beautiful contrast to the surrounding beaches. To protect the land from erosion, a wall of coral rubble and sand was built around half of the island.
