Most international visitors arrive at Velana International Airport (MLE) on Hulhulé Island. From the airport, take the frequent ferry service to Malé. Ferries operate every 10-15 minutes during the day and less frequently at night. The ferry trip takes about 10 minutes and costs approximately MVR 40. Upon arrival in Malé, Artificial Beach is easily accessible.
Taxi
From the main ferry terminal in Malé, taxis are readily available to Artificial Beach. A short taxi ride within Malé typically costs around MVR 20 during the day, with a slightly higher rate of MVR 30 after 11:00 PM. The ride to Artificial Beach from the ferry terminal is quick and convenient.
Walking
If you are already in Malé, or prefer a walk after the ferry ride, Artificial Beach is easily accessible on foot. From the Hulhumale Ferry Terminal, the beach is approximately 400 meters away. Walking allows you to experience the local atmosphere and explore the shops and cafes along the way.
Bus
From various points in Malé, you can take a public bus to Artificial Beach. Look for bus numbers 101, 401, 402, 403 or 404. Bus fares start at MVR 3. There are two Artificial Beach bus stops along Boduthakurufaanu Magu.
