From Velana International Airport (MLE), take the airport ferry to Malé. Ferries depart every 10 minutes from 6:00 AM to 2:30 AM (every 30 minutes from 2:30 AM to 4:00 AM). On Fridays, ferries operate every 10 minutes from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM. The ferry terminal in Malé is near Jetty No. 1. From the ferry terminal, it's a short walk to Jetty No. 1 (Presidential Jetty), where the Whale Submarine departs. Cost: MVR 40 per person.

Taxis are readily available in Malé. From any point in the city, a taxi to Jetty No. 1 (Presidential Jetty) is a convenient option. Cost: Approximately MVR 20 within the city. An extra MVR 10 may be charged for luggage.
