    Walking

    Republic Square is centrally located in Malé and easily accessible on foot from many points within the city. From the Hulhumalé Ferry Terminal, walk north along Boduthakurufaanu Magu for about 10-15 minutes. The square will be on your left, marked by the large Maldivian flag. Walking is the easiest way to reach the square and immerse yourself in the local culture.

    Public Transport

    The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) operates bus routes throughout Malé. Several bus stops are located near Republic Square. Check local bus schedules for the most convenient route and alight at a stop on Boduthakurufaanu Magu. From there, it's a short walk to the square. Bus fares start from MVR 3.

    Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Malé and offer a comfortable way to reach Republic Square. You can hail a taxi on the street or have your hotel call one for you.
