Walking
From the center of Birgu, head towards the waterfront promenade. Walk along the promenade until you reach the entrance of the marina. Continue walking along the marina promenade, keeping the water on your right. You will pass by the beautiful views of the harbor. Keep walking until you reach the bridge that connects to Valletta. Cross the bridge and head straight towards the Gżira area. After crossing, keep walking straight until you reach the traffic lights at the junction. Turn left at the traffic lights and continue walking straight. You will see signs directing you towards Manoel Island. Follow the signs until you reach the entrance of Fort Manoel.
Bus
From Birgu, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Triq il-Lvant (Eastern Road). Take bus number 61 or 62 towards Valletta. Get off at the stop labeled 'Gżira', which is a short ride away. Once you get off, walk straight along Triq San Albert until you reach the waterfront. At the waterfront, turn left and walk along the promenade towards Manoel Island. Follow the path and signs leading to Fort Manoel.
Ferry
From Birgu, walk to the ferry terminal located near the waterfront. Take the ferry to Valletta. Once you arrive in Valletta, exit the ferry terminal and walk straight towards the bus station. From there, you can catch a bus heading towards Gżira. Get off at the Gżira stop and follow the directions for walking as previously mentioned to reach Fort Manoel.
