Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Birgu's main square (Piazza Vittoriosa), head towards the waterfront. Walk down the narrow streets leading south until you reach the waterfront promenade. Once you arrive at the promenade, turn left and continue walking along the water. You will see Fort St. Angelo directly ahead, standing prominently at the tip of the peninsula.

    If you are near the Birgu Waterfront (near the ferry terminal), you can simply walk along the waterfront path. Head towards the fort, which is located at the end of the promenade. Follow the signs that indicate the way to Fort St. Angelo. The fort is about a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry terminal.

    For those coming from the Inquisitor's Palace, exit the palace and walk towards the main square. From there, follow the street that leads south to the waterfront. Once you reach the waterfront, turn left and continue straight until you arrive at Fort St. Angelo. The walk should take around 10 minutes.
