Walking
Start from the main square in Birgu, known as 'Il-Haġar Square'. Head north on Triq San Bartilmew toward Triq il-Knisja. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront promenade of Birgu. Turn left onto Triq il-Ponta and walk along the waterfront. Once you reach the end of the promenade, you will see the ferry terminal. Take the ferry from Birgu to Valletta. After arriving at the Valletta ferry terminal, follow the signs directing you towards 'Republic Street'. Continue straight onto St. Mark Street, where the Fortifications Interpretation Centre will be located at VGX5+VM3 on your left.

From Birgu, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the main square. Catch the bus number 81 or 82 towards Valletta. Once you arrive at the Valletta bus terminus, exit and walk towards Republic Street. Follow Republic Street until you reach St. Mark Street, which is a short walk away. The Fortifications Interpretation Centre will be on your left at VGX5+VM3.

If you are near the waterfront in Birgu, start by walking towards the entrance of Fort St. Angelo. Once there, proceed to Triq Sant' Angelo and head uphill. Continue straight until you reach the main road leading to Valletta. Once you reach the road, turn right and walk towards the Valletta ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Valletta, and upon arrival, walk straight to Republic Street and then turn left onto St. Mark Street to reach the Fortifications Interpretation Centre.
