Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Birgu, head towards the waterfront. Walk along the promenade until you reach the entrance of the Cospicua Marina. Continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the footbridge that leads to Valletta. Cross the footbridge and upon reaching Valletta, continue straight. You will find yourself on Republic Street. Follow Republic Street, and you will see St. George’s Square on your left, just after the Parliament building.

  • Bus

    From Birgu, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the main square. Take the bus number 81 or 82 heading towards Valletta. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the Valletta bus terminus. From there, walk straight towards Republic Street, and St. George’s Square will be on your left after a short walk.

  • Ferry

    Make your way to the ferry terminal in Birgu. Board the ferry heading towards Valletta. The ferry ride takes approximately 10 minutes. Once you arrive at the Valletta ferry terminal, exit and walk straight towards the city. Follow the signs leading you to Republic Street, and after a few minutes of walking, you will reach St. George’s Square on your left.
