    Getting There

    Driving

    From Victoria (Rabat), follow signs towards Għasri. Continue through Għasri, following signs for Wied il-Għasri. The road will narrow as you approach the valley. There is a small, free parking area near the gorge. Parking is limited, especially during peak season. If the parking lot is full, you can park on the side of the road. From the parking area, descend the steep steps carved into the rock to reach the beach.

    Public Transport

    The closest bus stop to Wied il-Għasri is 'Il-Ponta' in Għasri, served by bus 309 from Victoria. From the bus stop, it's approximately a 30-minute walk (2km) to Wied il-Għasri. Follow the road towards the valley, keeping an eye out for signs. A daytime bus ticket costs €2.50.

    Taxi

    Taxis are readily available throughout Gozo. A taxi from the Mġarr ferry terminal to Wied il-Għasri is approximately 10km and would cost around €25, with a base fare of €5 and €2 per km. A taxi from Victoria to Wied il-Għasri is approximately 7.3km. Expect to pay around €19. Ensure the taxi is licensed and agree on the fare before starting your journey.

Additionally, the area features salt pans, where seawater was evaporated to produce salt. A shaft was dug to transport seawater to the salt pans.While Wied il-Għasri offers a unique and unforgettable experience, it's important to note the limited facilities. There are no toilets or food and drink shops on-site, so visitors should come prepared. The beach is also pebbled, which may be uncomfortable for sunbathing without proper footwear.
