Public Transport
The Xwejni Salt Pans are easily accessible by bus. Take bus number 310 from Victoria (Rabat) to the Xwejni bus stop. From the bus stop, it's a short, approximately 10-minute walk along the coast to the salt pans. As of July 2025, a single journey bus ticket costs €2.50 during the summer. You can purchase tickets from the bus driver or save money by purchasing a Tallinja Card.
Walking
If you are in Marsalforn, you can walk to the Xwejni Salt Pans in approximately 30 minutes. Enjoy a scenic stroll along the coast, taking in the views of the Mediterranean Sea. There are no costs involved in walking.
Car
The Xwejni Salt Pans are easily accessible by car. From anywhere on Gozo, follow the signs to Xwejni Bay. Free parking is available along the road near the salt pans. Parking can be limited, especially during the summer months, so it's best to arrive early.
