Public Transport
From Valletta, take bus number X1 directly to Ċirkewwa Ferry Terminal in the northern part of Malta. The bus trip takes approximately 1 hour. From the Ċirkewwa terminal, purchase a return ticket for the Gozo Channel Ferry. As of July 2025, a standard passenger return fare is approximately €5. The ferry crossing to Mġarr Harbour in Gozo takes about 25 minutes. Upon arrival in Mġarr, Gozo, local buses are available to reach various destinations on the island.
Taxi
From Malta International Airport, a taxi to Ċirkewwa Ferry Terminal will cost approximately €45. The journey takes around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. At Ċirkewwa, purchase your Gozo Channel Ferry ticket for around €5. The ferry crossing to Mġarr Harbour in Gozo is approximately 25 minutes. Taxis are readily available at Mġarr Harbour in Gozo to take you to your final destination.
Driving
From anywhere in Malta, follow signs to Ċirkewwa. Be aware that traffic can be heavy, especially during peak hours and holidays. Upon arrival at Ċirkewwa, follow signs for the Gozo Channel Ferry. Purchase a ticket for your vehicle and passengers. As of July 2025, a standard car and driver fare is approximately €15.70. Parking is available at Ċirkewwa, but it can fill up quickly during busy periods. The ferry crossing to Mġarr Harbour in Gozo takes about 25 minutes. From Mġarr, roads connect to all parts of Gozo.
