The Public Garden, nestled in the heart of Victoria (also known as Rabat), Gozo, provides a tranquil escape from the town's busy atmosphere. This beautifully landscaped garden features a variety of vibrant flowers, lush trees, and manicured lawns, creating a serene backdrop for relaxation.Originally part of a British government experimental farm, the garden was established in 1915 and named after General Leslie Rundle, then Governor of Malta, who supported its creation. The gardens have been enhanced over the years to provide recreational facilities and host cultural events. You can find memorials, including busts of Gozitan linguist Agius de Soldanis and writer Laurent Rapa. The garden also features a central water feature and an amphitheater that hosts open-air shows during the summer.The Public Garden offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including historical landmarks and Victoria's charming architecture.     Take public bus routes 301, 302, 303 or other routes to the Victoria Bus Terminus. From the terminus, walk towards the city center, head down Triq Il-Kanun, and turn onto Mons Vella Street. The Public Garden will be on your right at number 17. A single bus ticket costs around €2 between July and September and €1.50 between October and June.
