Getting There

  • Bus

    From Gzira, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Triq l-Imsida. Take the bus number 13 or 14 heading towards Valletta. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the Valletta Terminus. From there, transfer to the 82 bus, which will take you directly to Birgu. The journey will take approximately another 10 minutes. Once you arrive in Birgu, you will find yourself near the waterfront area, which is a great place to start exploring.

  • Ferry

    From Gzira, make your way to the Sliema Ferries terminal, which is about a 15-minute walk along the waterfront. Once you reach the terminal, take the ferry to Valletta. The ferry ride will take around 10-15 minutes. After disembarking in Valletta, follow the signs to the bus terminal and take bus number 82 to Birgu. The bus ride will take another 10 minutes, dropping you off near the main attractions in Birgu.

  • Walking

    For those who enjoy walking, start from Gzira and head towards the Sliema promenade. Walk along the promenade towards Sliema, then continue towards the Valletta ferry terminal. From there, take the ferry to Valletta. After arriving in Valletta, you can walk to Birgu, which is approximately a 30-minute walk. Follow the signs towards the waterfront and cross the bridge towards Birgu. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
