Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Gzira waterfront, head toward the main road (Triq ix-Xatt). Walk along the waterfront promenade, enjoying the views of Valletta across the bay. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will find the entrance to the Strand. Turn left onto the Strand, and continue straight. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the bus terminal in Floriana. From here, you can take the bus to Valletta. Get off at the last stop in Valletta, which is close to the city gate.

    Once you arrive in Valletta, walk straight along Republic Street. Continue walking until you reach St. George's Square on your left. From St. George's Square, turn right onto Merchants Street. Continue walking, and you will eventually reach Great Siege Square, which is right next to the Upper Barracca Gardens.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    If you prefer to take public transport, from Gzira, walk to the nearest bus stop on Triq ix-Xatt. Take bus number 133 or 139 towards Valletta. The bus ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Get off at the Valletta terminus. From the bus stop, follow the directions provided above to reach Great Siege Square.
