Walking
From the central area of Gzira, head south towards the seafront promenade along Triq IX-Xatt. Continue walking along the promenade, enjoying views of the harbor on your right. After approximately 1 km, keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Valletta, which is directly ahead. Cross the bridge at the end of the promenade to enter Valletta. Once in Valletta, follow the signs towards the Upper Barracca Gardens. From there, take the steps down to Triq Sarria. The Independence Monument is located at the end of Triq Sarria, positioned in a small garden area.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Gzira, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Triq Gzira. Take bus number 13 or 14 towards Valletta. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Disembark at the 'Furjana' stop. From there, walk towards Triq Sarria, which is a short 5-minute walk away. Follow the street signs, and you will find the Independence Monument situated at the end of the street.
