Car
If you're driving from the Harbour Area, start by heading southeast on Triq il-Luzzu towards Triq Sant'Elmo. Continue straight onto Triq Sant'Elmo, then merge onto Triq il-Fortizza. Follow the signs to the Sliema-Gzira area and merge onto the Regional Road. Continue on the Regional Road until you reach the exit for Victoria (Rabat). Follow the signs towards Xagħra. Once you reach Xagħra, navigate to Triq John Otto Bayer. The Ġgantija Temples will be on your right. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for potential fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Ġgantija Temples using public transport, take a bus from the Harbour Area to Victoria (Rabat). The buses that operate this route include routes 81, 82, and 83. Once you arrive in Victoria, transfer to bus route 323 or a local bus heading towards Xagħra. Get off at the stop closest to Triq John Otto Bayer. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the Ġgantija Temples. Make sure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary, and prepare to pay a small fare for each bus ride, typically around €2.
Taxi or Ride-sharing
For a more direct route to Ġgantija Temples, consider taking a taxi or a ride-sharing service like Bolt or Uber. Simply provide the driver with the address: Triq John Otto Bayer, Xagħra. The journey will take approximately 25-30 minutes from the Harbour Area, depending on traffic. The fare can range from €25 to €35, so be sure to confirm estimated costs with the driver before starting your trip.
