Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Marsa, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Triq il-Labour (Labour Street). Catch bus number 81 or 82 towards Valletta. The bus ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the Valletta bus terminal. From there, exit the terminal and head towards St. Mark Street, which is a short 5-minute walk straight ahead. The Fortifications Interpretation Centre will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Marsa. Head north on Triq il-Labour (Labour Street) until you reach the main road (Triq il-Kbira). Turn left and continue until you reach the bus terminal area. Then, take the pedestrian path leading to Valletta. Follow the promenade along the coast towards Valletta, and after about 40-50 minutes of walking, you will arrive at St. Mark Street. The Fortifications Interpretation Centre will be on your right.

  • Taxi

    For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Marsa to Valletta. Taxis are available at various points in Marsa. Inform the driver you want to go to St. Mark Street in Valletta. The journey should take around 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the Fortifications Interpretation Centre will be located on your right.
