From the central area of Marsa, head towards the Marsa Sports Club. Walk along the main road (Triq il-Kbira) heading towards Valletta. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout at the entrance of Valletta. At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Triq il-Kbira. After a short distance, you will see signs indicating the way to Valletta. Follow the pedestrian walkway and cross the road at the pedestrian crossing. Continue walking straight until you reach the City Gate of Valletta.

Once you enter Valletta through the City Gate, continue walking straight along Republic Street (Triq Repubblika). This street is lined with shops and cafes, making it an enjoyable walk. Keep walking until you reach the end of the street where you will see the Upper Barracca Gardens on your left. The Great Siege Monument is located nearby.

To reach the Great Siege Monument from the Upper Barracca Gardens, take the path that leads down towards the Lower Barracca Gardens. Once you exit the gardens, you will find yourself on the main road (Triq il-Lvant).
