Walking
If you are starting from the Marsa area, head towards Triq Il-Labour, which is a main thoroughfare. Walk along this road until you reach the bus stop for routes 81, 82, and 83. Take bus 81 toward Valletta. After approximately 10-15 minutes, get off at the Valletta Terminus. From there, exit the bus station and walk towards the City Gate of Valletta. As you enter Valletta, take a left onto Triq Ir-Repubblika. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where you will find the Upper Barracca Gardens. From the gardens, head down the steps and walk towards the waterfront to catch a ferry or a bus towards Birgu. In Birgu, head towards Triq Il-Kottonera. Notre Dame Gate is located along this street.

From Marsa, walk to the nearest bus stop on Triq Il-Labour. Board bus number 81 towards Valletta. After about 15 minutes, disembark at the Valletta terminus. From there, switch to bus number 1 or 2, which heads towards Birgu. The journey will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop nearest to Triq Il-Kottonera. Walk towards Triq Il-Kottonera, and Notre Dame Gate will be along this road.
