Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the Marsaskala promenade. Walk along the seafront towards the north until you reach the main road (Triq il-Kbira). Continue straight along this road for about 15 minutes until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the bus stop on your right side (near the 'Marsaskala' sign). Take bus number 81 or 82 towards Valletta. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, enjoying the views. Get off at the Valletta bus terminus. From the bus terminus, walk towards the entrance of Valletta city. Once you enter, follow the signs leading to St. Mark Street. The Fortifications Interpretation Centre is located on St Mark Street (VGX5+VM3), which is a short walk from the entrance.

    From your location in Marsaskala, make your way to the nearest bus stop. This could be either towards the promenade or along Triq il-Kbira. Once you are at the bus stop, board bus number 81 or 82 heading towards Valletta. The journey will take about 30 minutes. When you arrive at the Valletta bus terminus, exit and walk into the city. Head straight and follow the signs towards St Mark Street. The Fortifications Interpretation Centre is located at VGX5+VM3 on St Mark Street, just a few minutes' walk from the entrance to Valletta.
