If you are driving from Mellieha Bay, head southeast on Triq il-Marfa towards Triq Sarria. Continue on Triq il-Marfa, then turn right onto Triq Sarria. Follow this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Independence Monument located at VGV4+QH4, Triq Sarria, Il-Furjana. There is free parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking restrictions.

To reach the Independence Monument via public transport, take bus route 101 from the Mellieha Bay bus stop. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the Floriana bus terminal. From there, it’s a short walk to the monument. Head southeast on Triq Sarria, and you will find the Independence Monument after a 10-minute walk. The bus fare is around €2, which you can pay in cash on board.
