Getting There

  • Bus

    From Mellieħa, head to the nearest bus stop located on the main road (Triq il-Lija). Take bus number 41 towards Cirkewwa. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Disembark at the Cirkewwa terminal and catch the ferry to Gozo. Upon reaching Gozo, take bus number 322 towards Xagħra. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop for Xagħra. From the bus stop, walk about 10 minutes heading east on Triq il-Wilga until you reach Calypso Cave, which will be marked by signage.

  • Walking

    If you prefer a walking route, start at the centre of Mellieħa and walk towards the main road (Triq il-Lija). Head north until you reach the bus terminal at Cirkewwa, which is about a 40-minute walk. From the bus terminal, you can take the ferry to Gozo and then follow the bus route as mentioned above to reach Xagħra.

  • Taxi

    For a more direct option, you can book a taxi from Mellieħa to Cirkewwa. The ride should take about 10 minutes. From Cirkewwa, take the ferry to Gozo. Once you arrive, you can either take a taxi directly to Calypso Cave or use the local bus service (bus number 322) to Xagħra, as described above.
