Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Paola, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Triq il-Kbira. Board the bus heading towards Marsaxlokk (look for routes 81 or 82). The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Marsaxlokk, disembark at the bus stop closest to the waterfront. From there, Fort Delimara is about a 15-minute walk. Head south along the waterfront promenade, passing the colorful fishing boats, then follow the signs directing you towards Fort Delimara.

• Walking

  If you prefer walking, you can take a scenic route from Paola to Marsaxlokk. Start from the Paola parish church and head towards Triq il-Kbira. Walk straight along this road, which will lead you towards the coast. Once you reach the waterfront in Marsaxlokk, turn left and continue along the promenade. Keep walking until you see signs for Fort Delimara, which should be approximately a 45-minute walk from Paola.

• Bicycle

  For those who wish to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Paola. From the main square, head towards Triq il-Kbira. Follow the road south, cycling along the designated bike lanes. The route will take you directly to Marsaxlokk, where you can park your bike at a designated area near the waterfront. From there, it's a short cycle to Fort Delimara, which is about a 10-minute ride from the waterfront.
