Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Paola Main Square, walk towards the main road (Triq il-Kbira) and head north. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq Sant' Anna and follow the signs for Valletta. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach another roundabout. Take the first exit to continue onto Vjal l-Avjazzjoni. After about 500 meters, keep left to stay on Vjal l-Avjazzjoni, which will lead you to the entrance of Valletta. Once in Valletta, follow the signs towards the city center. Proceed to Old Treasury Street, and you will find the National Library of Malta at number 36 on your right.

    From Paola, walk to the nearest bus stop (Paola - L-Istazzjon) and take bus number 81 towards Valletta. The bus will take you directly to Valletta. Once you arrive at the Valletta bus terminus, exit the bus and walk towards the main entrance of the city. After entering Valletta, continue straight and turn left onto Old Treasury Street. The National Library of Malta is located at number 36 on your left.
