Walking
If you are starting from the Sliema Ferries area, head southwest towards the promenade. Follow the promenade along the coastline until you reach the end of the waterfront. From there, you will see a ferry terminal. Cross the street to catch the ferry to Valletta. Once you arrive at Valletta, disembark and head towards the exit. Follow the signs for the bus station and catch a bus towards Birgu (Bus 81 or 82). Get off at the stop named 'Birgu' and walk towards Xatt l-Assedju l-Kbir. The Malta Maritime Museum will be on your left.

From Sliema, walk to the nearest bus stop (you can find one on Triq it-Torri). Take bus number 81 or 82 towards Valletta. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Birgu' stop.
