Car
If you are driving from Southern Harbour, start by heading north on the main road (Triq il-Kbira) towards Valletta. Follow the signs for the A1 road (towards the north). Continue on A1 which will merge into Triq il-Mosta, and then into Triq il-Bajja. This road will lead you directly to Mellieħa where Ċirkewwa is located. Once you reach Mellieħa, follow the signs towards the Ċirkewwa Ferry Terminal. There are parking facilities available near the terminal but be aware that parking may incur a fee.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Ċirkewwa from Southern Harbour using public transportation, you can take the bus route X1. First, find the nearest bus stop in Southern Harbour. Board the X1 bus which heads towards Ċirkewwa. The journey may take around 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the latest timings. The bus will take you directly to the Ċirkewwa Ferry Terminal. The bus fare is approximately €2, and you can purchase a ticket from the driver or use a preloaded bus card.
Combination of Bus and Walk
An alternate way to reach Ċirkewwa is by taking the bus to Mellieħa and then walking to Ċirkewwa. From Southern Harbour, board bus route X1 towards Ċirkewwa. Once you arrive at the Mellieħa bus terminus, disembark and follow the signs leading to the Ċirkewwa Ferry Terminal. The walk to Ċirkewwa is about 30 minutes and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during warmer months.
