Bus
From St. Julian's, walk to the nearest bus stop on Triq Sant'Andrija. Take Bus 16 towards Valletta. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the 'Valletta' terminal. From there, transfer to Bus 1 or 2, which will take you directly to Birgu. The journey will take about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Birgu, you can explore the area on foot.
Ferry
Start by walking to the nearby Sliema Ferry Terminal, which is about a 20-minute walk along the promenade from St. Julian's. Take the ferry to Valletta, which operates frequently and takes around 10 minutes. Once in Valletta, follow the previous bus instructions to take Bus 1 or 2 to Birgu.
Walking
If you prefer to explore on foot, you can walk from St. Julian's to Birgu. Head south towards the coast and follow the promenade along the water. The walk is approximately 1.5 hours and will take you through Sliema and Valletta, offering beautiful views of the harbor. Once in Birgu, follow the signs to the main attractions.
