Car
If you're driving from the Tas-Silġ Area, start by heading north on Triq il-Kanun towards Triq il-Fortizza. Continue straight until you reach Triq il-Wied. Turn left onto Triq il-Wied, which will lead you to the main road. Follow the signs for Mdina and continue on the main road (Triq Birkirkara) until you reach the roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto Triq il-Kastell, which will lead you directly to Mdina Gate. Parking is available outside the city walls, but be aware of parking fees that can vary depending on the season.
Public Transportation
To reach Mdina Gate using public transport, start at the nearest bus stop in the Tas-Silġ Area. Take bus number 71 or 72 towards Valletta. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 'Valletta' bus terminal. From there, transfer to bus number 51, 52, or 53 heading towards Mdina. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Mdina' stop, which is near the entrance to Mdina Gate. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the gate itself. Note that bus fares typically range from €1.50 to €2.00, depending on the time of day and the duration of your journey.
