Car
If you are driving, head towards Valletta from the Three Cities. Follow the signs towards Valletta and look for the main entrance to the city. Once you reach the city gate, drive along the main road until you see a sign for Republic Street. Turn left onto Republic Street. St. George’s Square will be straight ahead. Note that parking in Valletta can be challenging, so consider using one of the public parking facilities, which may charge around €1-€2 per hour.
Public Bus
To reach St. George’s Square using public transport, catch a bus from any of the Three Cities towards Valletta. The bus routes such as 81, 82, and 133 frequently operate between the Three Cities and Valletta. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Valletta Terminal. From there, walk towards Republic Street; St. George’s Square will be a short 5-minute walk straight ahead. The bus ticket costs around €1.50.
Ferry
An alternative and scenic option is to take the ferry from the Three Cities to Valletta. Board the ferry at the specific terminals in Birgu, Senglea, or Bormla. The ferry ride is approximately 10 minutes long and offers beautiful views of the harbor. Once you arrive at the Valletta Ferry Terminal, head towards the city center and follow Republic Street to reach St. George’s Square. The ferry ticket costs around €2.80.
